27th Feb, New Delhi: Bharat-Tex 2024 is being organised at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in New Delhi from February 26th to 29th February 2024. In a notable moment at the inaugural , Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Mart and Chief Patron, EPCH, received applause and recognition before the Prime Minister Modi, from Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Textiles, amongst mammoth gathering of 7500 plus stakeholders from Textile industry.

The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showcased a vibrant ceremony highlighting India’s textile industry’s potential. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s 5F Vision, the event emphasized a unified approach from Farm to Fashion, encompassing the entire textiles value chain.

Earlier while extending a warm welcome, a jacket was presented to the Prime Minister by Dr Rakesh Kumar and AEPC’s Narendra Goenka.

Bharat-Tex 2024 witnessed participation from over 3,000 exhibitors, 3,000 buyers representing 100 nations, and approximately 40,000 trade visitors. Amidst this bustling gathering, Dr. Rakesh Kumar’s contributions stood out, drawing praise from Minister Goyal for his impactful work in advancing the handicrafts sector.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar’s dedication and leadership in promoting India’s handicrafts sector have been pivotal in shaping the sector’s growth and global recognition. His efforts have not only fostered economic development but also helped preserve and promote India’s rich cultural heritage. His efforts were appreciated by UP CM Yogi Adityanath while awarding Honorary Degree and also in Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show.

As Bharat-Tex 2024 continues to facilitate networking and collaboration within the textile industry, Dr. Rakesh Kumar’s commendable efforts serve as a shining example of innovation and commitment in India’s business landscape.
