Institutes push back exam dates

Gurgaon: Confusion prevailed among city schools and colleges regarding whether they should go ahead with scheduled examinations, despite Section 144 having been lifted from the city on Monday morning.

While some educational institutions postponed their exams to next week, some were caught unawares, what with several students from neighbouring districts stranded at home.

Amity International School postponed its examination for Class XI scheduled on Monday to next week. “As Monday was declared an emergency holiday, we postponed the exam to next week, so that students can be informed well in time about the date,” said Savita Mehta, vice-president (communication), Amity Group.
