It appears that Pakistan is bent upon creating troubles through terrorists on the eve of Republic Day where US President Mr. Barak Obama is the chief guest

Brig. K.G. Behl (Retd.)

President, Emeritus, Dehradun Ex-Services League

Pakistan had been trying to infiltrate terrorists into India through Indo-Pak border for a very long time by carrying out firing across the border in different sectors causing lot of damage to life and property of the people living in the villages close to the border. Indian troops had been giving a befitting reply to those attacks and did not allow terrorist to enter into India. It is learnt that they are now trying to attack simultaneously at number of places along the border so that terrorist may cross over to India under the cover. Since the Indo-Pak border is quite long and passes through rugged terrain at many places, there is likelihood of some terrorists making their way through such areas and enter India in different garbs. As such all of us have to vigilant and keep a watch and report if anyone of us comes across any such doubtful characters. Since Dehradun is also a vulnerable place there is likelihood of such intruders passing this way or create some trouble somewhere.

It is very heartening to know that our coast guards acted smartly and intercepted Pakistan board which had entered the Indian waters. It is learnt that the boat was full of explosives and was sent to create problems in the coastal areas. When intercepted the Pakistani crew blew up the explosives laden boat mid sea to destroy any evidence and purpose of coming. The coast guards saw four men in the boat but there is likelihood of there being more persons inside it for which they are searching the debris.

Ex-Servicemen thank Coast Guards for their quick action. But there is likelihood of more terrorists staying on coast line for whom this material was being brought. Once again people staying around those areas have to vigilant to avoid any untoward incidents.
