ITS Engineering College awarded Gold Rank by CII-AICTE for “Excellent industrial connect”

Greater Noida, 25th June: The ITS Engineering College has been ranked in the Gold Category in the prestigious annual rankings conducted by Confederation of Indian Industry for establishing an excellent industrial connect and linkage vis-e-vis its counterpart by regular contributions.

The Confederation of Indian Industry and the AICTE in a joint Survey assessed the current status of partnership between technical institutions and industry on six basic parameters such as curriculum, faculty, governance, infrastructure, placements and research and services / project & skill development.

The AICTE-CII Survey for Industry-Linked Technical Institutes maps industry linkages of Indian technical institutes in four broad streams – Engineering, Management, Architecture and Pharmacy, showcasing the best practices of partnerships with industry and highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the ecosystem of technical education in India.

At the end of the survey, awards and citations are given to the Best Industry Linked Institutes.

All institutes which have been working with at least 100 or more companies in the past 2 years, send at least 80 per cent or more students for internships in industry every year, applied for patents, received funds of Rs 20 lakh or more from industry in past 2 years, got 70 or more live projects from industry in past 2 years, earned at least Rs 35 lakh or more from industry projects and has created at least 5 start-ups in the past 2 year were eligible to participate in the survey.

Since this is an online survey, institutes were asked to fill all the data pertaining to Curriculum Input, Faculty, Services / Projects & Skills Development & Placements for the last two years and for Governance & Infrastructure data only last one year. The indicative objective scores obtained was placed before a high-level jury comprising experts from industry and academia for verification and further evaluation.
