IYC Organized “Bharat Bachao Andolan” (Sansad Gherao) Held a massive protest at Jantar Mantar,
Delhi: 10 August 2017: IYC held a massive protest at Jantar Mantar and thereafter Sansad Gherao against BJP led NDA Government as the Democracy is under absolute threat under their regime. Around more than four thousand youth congress activists participated in this protest. This massive protest was joined by PYC presidents, NOBs and Senior leaders of the Congress Party, Sh. Ahmed Patel MP Rajya Sabha, Sh. C.P. Joshi AICC General Secretary, Sh. Digvijay Singh, Sh. Raj Babar MP Rajya Sabha along with Sh. Dipender Hudda MP were present at the Jantar Mantar to encourage Youth Congress Activists.
Sh. Ahmed Patel while addressing the protest stated that he is a small man and his victory is not only his victory but of all congressmen and he is pretty confident that now BJP led NDA Government is not going to come into power again. He stated that two men in BJP, one having Constitutional Authority and another having extra constitutional authority are looting India and misleading the people of India especially our youth who were promised 2 cr. Employment but in reality nothing has been done as well as there is uncontrollable rise in inflation and women of country are also tensed as much as nothing has been done to curb corruption as promised by them to the people of India.
He further stated that, youth congress activists have a bigger responsibility on them as during struggle for independence of India there were only youth and women who were in forefront and sacrificed their lives for the Independence. He stated that we will be heading for the bright future under the dynamic leadership of Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Sh. Rahul Gandhi who are standing as rock against the ill policies and strategies of the BJP proving to be lethal for the democracy of our country. He also raised slogans like, Narendra Modi Bharat Chodo, Gujrat Chodo.
Sh. C.P. Joshi stated that there is a serious threat to our democracy and our democracy has been challenged as BJP is doing full of hatred and religion based politics. He appealed to the Youth Congress activists to move ahead with new energy and enthusiasm for building a new nation.
Sh. Raj Babbar was also present and he raised slogans “Bharat Bachao Bharat Jodo” against BJP Led NDA government and made a humble appeal to the people of all religions of India to collectively fight out the ill ideology of the BJP party.
Sh. Amrinder Singh Raja, President of Indian Youth Congress while addressing the protest stated that Gujarat is not only Narendra Modi ji’s, it is firstly of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi ji, Sh. Ahmed Patel ji and Citizens of Gujarat. He further stated that youth activists of the Indian Youth Congress will held dharna whensoever BJP will call for either IT or CBI raid against the innocent and people having neat and clean image of the Congress Party.
Further, all protesters moved towards Sansad Bhawan from Jantar Mantar in lieu of Bharat Bachao Andolan. However, protesting masses were forcefully stopped near Parliament Police Station with use of water canons and around 1000 protesters were detained by Delhi Police.
