New Delhi 20 July 2016:Today, Thousands of Activists from all Frontal Organizations of Indian National Congress from across the Nation protested against MODI Government on the issue of PRICE RISE of essential commodities. The Protest was led by the National Presidents of Seva Dal Shri Mahinder Joshi, Smt. Shobha Oza of Mahila Congress, Shri Amarinder Singh Raja of Indian Youth Congress and Shri Roji John of NSUI, IYC Incharge Shri Suraj Hegde from Jantar Mantar to the Parliament Gate. However, just as the protest gained momentum, Delhi Police personnel forcefully tried to stop the protest, barricaded the entire place and detained all the senior leaders.

Youth Congress had set up Vegetable Shop named “ACHE DIN KI MEHANGI DUKAAN” to sell vegetables displaying hardship of Common Man.

Protestors started gathering at about 10 AM at Jantar Mantar where most of the Senior Leaders like Motilal Vora ji, Shri Digvijay Singh Ji, Shri Janardhan Dwivedi ji, Shri Mohan Prakash Ji, Shri Randeep Surjewalla Ji, Shri Manish  Chatrath Ji, Shri Mirza Baig Ji, Shri Prakash Joshi ji, Shri Zubair Khan Ji, Shri Khurshid Shehzad Ji, Shri Suresh Pachori Ji, Shri Raj Babbar Ji, Shri Nadeem Javed Ji, Smt Annu Tandon Ji, Shri Ved Prakash Ji, Smt Vijayalaxmi Sadho Ji and many others also addressed the party workers stating that the prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed in the past months, members of all frontals staged a demonstration near Parliament Gate. They said that vegetables, pulses, grossary, fuel and all essential commodities were on the rise and blamed the Central government for its failure to control it. They said that purchase of vegetables has turned to be a far-fetched dream for a common man as with one’s meager earnings, vegetables are no more affordable to them. They demanded that the Central Government should take effective steps to prevent further rise and also wanted the Government to reduce it. Controlling the price is the need of the hour, it was the general opinion of all leaders.
