Wow, it took me two hours to analyse the responses to my demonetisation question. But it was worth every second !

In my what’s app group I have a people from a vast variety of backgrounds as my friends. See my analysis on what each group felt bcoz I got many explanatory notes too as a reply.

Students & young people – very happy and supportive about it.

Employees – very happy & hopeful of future

Sme owners – almost everyone said that their business is currently suffering but almost all said it is right step. They said their business will improve in future.

Media – mostly supportive

NRI’s – all supportive

Employees in MNC – supportive

Government employees – positive & supportive

Armed forces – very positive

Journalists – 50/50

Workers like security guard, peon, maid – said they are suffering in queues but happy as they earned some money initially too !

Farmers – positive. Though suffering currently. But they said situation is improving.

Bankers – positive

Professors – positive

Senior citizens – 50/50

Builders – said sales is 0% but are positive for future as they said correction was badly needed.

Women – most positive & supportive, though most said that their savings from home expenses had to be surrendered !

IAS officers – mostly supportive

Final result – 78% said yes good for economy & 22% very wary about future impact.
