New Delhi, 22 April 2022: The Commissioner of Delhi Police, Rakesh Asthana has urged the Enforcement Directorate to investigate the mastermind Ansar under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, in the Jahangirpuri riots case.
Mohammad Ansar is one of the accused in the Jahangirpuri riots and is deemed as the key conspirator by the Delhi Police.
The police is suspicious that properties the accused owns was brought utilising the gambling money. His possessions and bank data are under investigation and the matter is no longer about rioting. Illegal funds are also being investigated said the ED officials.
