Japan’s Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu announces Third Edition of Japan Film Festival in India!

New Delhi(09/09/2019): Japan Foundation in Delhi today announced that the beginning of the third edition of its Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in India, in partnership with PVR Cinemas which is a six month long film festival that will be launched in the capital on 27th September 2019 at PVR Select CITYWALK, Saket, New Delhi.


At the inaugural ceremony, the Japan Foundation in collaboration with PVR Cinemas unveiled the Festival’s line-up featuring a list of critically acclaimed and globally popular Japanese films.

The Festival will showcase films from various genres like romance, drama, comedy etc. from contemporary Japanese cinema, including feature, award-winning and anime films.

In the presence of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Japan’s Ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu, followed the unveil of the Festival’s Official Catalogue, a panel including Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, JMD, PVR Ltd., Kenji Hiramatsu and Kaoru Miyamoto, Director-General, Japan Foundation.
