The evening was organized by the current students who are members of the Fore Alumni Network (FAN). In the 25 years since the first Wave batch, the institute has almost 7000 glorious ambassadors, and many of them rubbed shoulders with each other to make it an enthralling evening.
The alumni meet is all about celebrating the achievements of those who have risen to great heights from the platform created for them by the institute. The newly elected FAA ( Fore Alumni Association) members were also introduced. The meeting was well attended with member of the Board, the faculty and alumni present. This meet is always held before the gala dinner for alumni, and is an evening where the Institute presents prestigious awards to distinguished alumni. The evening began with an introduction of the board members. Students from the institute upped the fun quotient with a medley of songs that made the alumni nostalgic about college days and friendships. Prof. Freda Swaminathan, Professor-in-Charge-FAN , then took to the stage and said that it was a day of celebrating the success of alumni. She then announced the name of the new Alumni Association President Mr. Rukesh Bati and thanked his predecessor Mr. Manu Bhalla.

He further encouraged them to come back to the institute for recruitments and continue the legacy.

Col. (Dr.) S.P. Wahi, Member, Executive Board, then inspired the gathering and emphasized that students should aim for leadership and not just managerial roles. “I am glad FORE School of Management has made great progress and consistently given us leaders. Because we have plenty of managers, we need more leaders,” he said amidst a huge round of applause. Four of these leaders in their own right were up next for the Alumni Recognition Awards.
Mr. Vishal Tuhan (Wave 9) and Head of Finance, Blackstone Group bagged the Excellence Leadership award. Ms. Arti Aggarwal (Wave 14), Head HR, Essar Group was honored to win the award for Contribution to Alma Mater and reminded the gathering: “I was the last one to get placed in my batch. The Alumni Recognition Award for Entrepreneurship was won by Mr. Sanjeev Malhtora (Wave 3), Managing Partner, Prosight Partners.
The gathering then moved on to the lush lawns of the venue as they shared light moments and expressed their love for the institute. They had gained from their experience at the B School, and as Ms.Vandana Sharma put it, “Now we have the opportunity to give back to FORE.” Clearly some bonds just get stronger over time.
