Kartik-Kiara Starring ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ sells 25,000 Tickets Before Release

Mumbai (28/06/2023): ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, will be released in less than a day, and advance booking is already underway. With ticket sales in the top three national chains and the lucrative ‘Bakri Eid’ holiday, the much-anticipated Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer should have a reasonable opening.

‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ had sold around 25,000 tickets in PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis for the opening day at 12 noon on the day before the release. PVR currently holds the lead with 13,000 tickets sold, while Inox and Cinepolis have sold 7,500 and 4,250 tickets, respectively.

It is observed that advance bookings for the opening day are strong, although they are lower than usual for the rest of the weekend. The number of tickets sold in advance for the opening day is almost four times that of the total number of tickets sold for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which is unusual.

The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Nadiadwala and Grandsons. It stars Supriya Pathak, Siddharth Randeria, Rajpal Yadav, and Gajraj Rao, among others. The film will be released in theatres on July 29.

In an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, cinema exhibitor and industry analyst Akshaye Rathi stated that based on the advance booking figures for ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ and the excitement generated by the songs, he believes the film will easily earn more than Rs 7 crore on Day 1.

Following the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ reunites Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Only looking at their recent theatrical releases, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Shehzada’ failed to capture audiences’ attention, whilst Kiara’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ did well at the global box office.
