KhaitanPublicSchool takes up plantation

Ghaziabad:  With a motive to take a lead and promote green drive in the city, the Students of Khaitan Public School in Rajendra Nagar took part in the plantation drive which was held in the City Forest Ghaziabad. Mrs. Shishodiya, JE Subhash Yadav, and social activist Raj Sharma, head of Ghaziabad Horticulture Department marked their presence in the drive.The main aim of the step was to promote the idea of the green and clean city. The teachers and other faculty members of the school came ahead and accompanied the students in the plantation to encourage them for the same. The drive witnessed about hundred from the fifth to the eighth standard.

“We all are aware of the bad effects of global warming and greenhouse effect. There are people who are still unaware of the negative effects of combustion and deforestation so, we need to inculcate plantations and more drives promoting greenery and nothing can be more persuading than involving children in these activities. It’s important to understand the gravity of global warming, and both the teachers and parents should make the children understand the relevance of nature and trees” said Geeta Varshneya, Education Director, Khaitan Public School.
