New Delhi, December 14: The Parliament is set to restart today after a four-day halt and stormy clouds seem to be already gathering on the horizon. Along with the ongoing issue of demonetisation, one key controversy that is set to rock both the houses is Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju’s alleged involvement in a 450 crore power scam in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

As Congress has already prepared the groundwork for the confrontation, the winter session that has so far remained a washout shows no signs of progress. Speaking to ANI on the issue, Congress leader Mallikarjun Khargeguaranteed that the party would take up the scam in Parliament. “Today, we will have a party meeting. We have two to three important issues to raise in Parliament like demonetisation, India’ foreign policy towards Pakistan, and of course, the issue involving Rijiju. We will discuss all these issues in the party meeting and accordingly raise our issues in parliament,” said Kharge.
