Know security details that EVM goes through on day of voting

Election commission today organized a demonstration of security steps that and EVM machine is moved through to prevent any chances of malpractice.

In the video you can see an actual voting machine and the seals that it exhibits during whole voting process.

Explaining to Ten News on election official said, ” EVM machine has signed seals and no-one can tamper it as it is reviewed throughout the process right from spot allocation to candidates to day of counting”.

He also said, “On day of voting before the actual exercise begins a mock-voting is conducted in presence of representatives of different political parties. Fifty votes are lodged, slips are taken out and is matched with voting preferences casted by different individuals. Afterwards all votes are matched as casted and when no discrepancy is found all political representatives give it in written. Then only the voting is resumed”.

The above process completely eliminates probabalties of tampering as this process is done exactly on the day of voting and right after the machine is moved to actual voting spot in polling booth.

Election commission has done it’s job through a full-fledged display and the ball is now in court of parties alleging tampering charges.

AAP which has levied allegations of EVM tampering seems to be unable to substantiate there claims with concrete evidence.
