Krishnaraj Mahadik brings laurels to India, wins BRDC Formula 3 Championship

Krishnaraj Mahadik has become a youth icon, since he won the BRDC Formula 3 Championship in England. He is only the second Indian to win this prestigious championship till date.
Krishnaraj Mahadik is son of Kolhapur Member of Parliament Dhananjay Mahadik. On this remarkable achievement of his son Loksabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan also congratulated the MP Mahadik in the Parliament.
It is after two decades that an Indian participant has won this championship which was last won by acclaimed Indian Racer Narain Karthikeyan in 1998.
Talking to Ten News, MP Dhananjay Mahadik said,”I am feeling really proud about my son. His consistent efforts has yielded fruitful results and I am sure there is much more to come in future”.
MP Dhananjay Mahadik also informed that Krishnaraj is planning to participate in Formula One racing and preparing hard for it.
Dhanjay Mahadik also expressed his delight on getting appreciation from Lok Sabha speaker.
The championship was organized at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in Kent, England.
Talking about his success to media, Krishnaraj said,”It was very tough because the championship has drivers competing from all around the world and the competition was a very close one when you are leading the race, you come under a lot of pressure. I would like to say that fortunately I handled it as well as my expectation”.
