Land acquisition issues obstacle in development of roads in Kerala: Gadkari

Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said issues pertaining to land acquisition is the main impediment as far as road development in Kerala is concerned.He asked the State Government to overcome these bottlenecks with a strong will.

Once land acquisition procedure is put in place, Centre will expedite National Highway development activities on a fast track. He was inaugurating the third phase of construction activities of the Kollam bypass today. He suggested that development activities should not be mixed with politics.

Nitin Gadkari said approval will be given for developing 140 kilometer long National Highway upto Sabarimala hill shrine.
