‘Leaders in the making’, a book highlighting learnings of top HR professionals launched by BIMTECH – NHRDN

New Delhi, 8th October: ‘Leaders in the making’, a book highlighting learning of 30 top HR leaders in the country was released on Saturday at an event organised by BIMTECH and NHRDN in New Delhi.
The book has been co-authored by Dr. Arvind Agarwal, Managing Partner, LEAD Associates and Dr. T.V Rao, Chairman, TV Rao Learning Systems.
Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH, in his welcome address said, it is tough to become a good leader. There are a lot of books on leadership but it is not the case that one can read those and become a leader, it requires a lot more. One has to learn it through experimentation.
Dr. Chaturvedi shared that the book is based on journeys of top HR leaders in private and public organisations and contains their in-depth interviews on their learnings, experiences.
Heaping praise on the authors, GP Rao, Founder and Managing Partner, GPR HR Consuming said that both of them are among the best HR professionals in the country despite not coming from the HR background.
While TV Rao founded HRD profession and National HRD Network, Arvind brought systems, governance, assessments in workplaces.
P Dwarkanath, Former Chairman at GSK healthcare who is also one the people involved in the book, said, writing a book is difficult, but the authors thought through it and I really enjoyed being interviewed.
“Normally, people write about themselves, but they took out
time to write this book about 30 people which is not easy.”
Dwarkanath also hailed the duo of TV Rao and Arvind.
Aquil Busrai, CEO, Aquil Busrai Consulting in his address shared that the book took 7 years of work and perseverance. He also hailed Arvind’s ability to listen and take notes as he did not recorded the conversation.
Talking of three qualities that all the 30 people featured in the book have, Busrai said all the 30 people always had a purpose in mind that they were following. Secondly they were very people centric at heart. And lastly they were also passionate about whatever they did.
NHRDN President SV Nathan, DG Dhananjay Singh were among the eminent delegates who were present at the launch event along with other HR professionals, BIMTECH faculties and students.
