#LKAdvani, Others Asked to Respond to Plea Seeking Conspiracy Charge in Babri Case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notices to BJP leader LK Advani and others on a plea against dropping off conspiracy charges against them in Babri Masjid demolition case.

The apex court has granted four weeks time to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and others to respond to the plea in the case.

The plea has been filed by Haji Mehboob, a petitioner in the title suit representing the Muslim community in Babri Masjid-Ramjanmabhoomi case.

Mehboob, 77, has said his fears stem from the fact that Rajnath Singh, an accused in the case, was now home minister and his ministry had administrative control over CBI. Also, another accused, Kalyan Singh, was now governor of Rajasthan.
