Long Delayed RTR Flyover opens, Delhi BJP Targets Kejriwal!

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has given something For Delhi -NCR People to rejoice. Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the three-kilometer long Rao Tula Ram (RTR) flyover on Tuesday. After a delay of 10- years, RTR flyover gets open for public to smoothen travel to Indira Gandhi International Airport.


Instead of using the Outer Ring Road, commuters going towards the Airport, Gurugram or Dwarka, will be able to take the new flyover from Munirka and exit directly near Subroto Park

Kejriwal claimed that there were more such projects which would come up in the Capital before the end of his government’s tenure.

However, the 2.7 KM stretch flyover was marred with several delays. The project which was estimated to be completed in Rs 278 crores, eventually took Rs 310 crores for completion due to inordinate delays caused by resident complaints, planning permission delays and other factors.

Targeting Aam Aadmi Party, for the Delay. Delhi BJP Chief, Manoj Tiwari Tweeted,

“RTR Flyover just 2.7Kms stretch made in 5years by Delhi Govt is set to open today. This has been a nightmare each day for commuters

8.7 Kms stretch of NH24 Nizamuddin bridge-DelhiUP border completed and inaugurated by Narendra Modi Ji in 15months.”
