March 3, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday while virtually addressing a post-budget webinar organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on The theme of ‘Make in India for the World.’
While addressing in the webinar he Highlighted that ‘make in India’ is the need of the hour. Moreover he also said that Domestic manufacturers need to maintain global standards.
”We need to give focus on ‘Make in India’, need to manufacture sustainable & qualitative products. We have to become self-reliant in production of semiconductors. ‘Make in India’ is the demand of the time.”PM modi said
He added, “Just buying terracotta ‘diyas’ on Deepawali is not being ‘vocal for local’, we need to think big. Domestic manufacturers need to maintain global standards. We need a research-based futuristic approach.”
Further he said India’s manufacturing journey has become smoother after the government lifted several compliances.
