NEW DELHI : Manish Tiwari, Congress leader went on to accuse the ruling party of using illegal means to change the outcome of the upcoming polls. Bjp is displaying a very unique combination of ignorance and arrogance
Elucidating that this is not the first time such an unfair incident has been recorded in the state, he gave an example of the Rajya Sabha polls where Congress leaders came out in front of the media and provided evidence that members of the BJP tried bribing them. “No investigation was ever carried out,” he added.
Tiwari also spoke about the ruling BJP’s involvement in misusing the Income Tax department for their own benefit. “What kind of a democracy is this?” he questioned in an angry tone. Tiwari lambasted the BJP and the Election Commission, calling for a “model code of conduct” for a fair election process. The EC has not yet announced the polling dates for the assembly elections in the state of Gujarat.Details about the “sting” were circulated by the Patidar leader Narendra Patel, a day after two of the closest aides of Hardik Patel defected to join the BJP. He claimed that he was offered Rs one crore to join the BJP ahead of assembly elections in Gujarat.
