New Delhi, 24 August 2022: The Nav Shri Manav Dharam Ramleela Committee had recently conducted the press conference on their upcoming Ramleela from 26 September to 5 October in New Delhi.

The organiser of the Ramleela, Vikash Sethi emphasised on the importance of portraying Ramleela for the younger generation saying that it is after two years that they are organizing the Ramleela and they want it to be a grand event.

He also introduced the cast of the Ramleela, where Puneet Issar will be seen as Ravana, Pankaj Bedi as Vishwamitra, Manoj Tiwari as Angada, Payal Rohatagi as Surupnakha, Siddhant Issar as Ram, Veer Virender Singh as Hanuman and so on.

“Since the spread of Covid-19 has now reduced, I am sure that the people who used to watch Ramleela on their phones and TVs, would now come to see the stage performance which captures the true essence of the story”, said Manoj Tiwari, Delhi MP.

Talking about his character, Actor Puneet Issar stated, “I would be trying my best to bring life to my character and make this Ramayana the no. 1 in the country. I will play a Ravana that no one has ever seen.”

In response to prompting of dialogues during Ramleelas, he sternly maintained, “I have seen that people do not take this great Indian epic seriously and do not appreciate it, which is completely wrong. Our rich Indian history and religion should not be taken lightly. Ramleela teaches us a great deal which is useful in our daily lives too.”

Tiwari also criticised the way children in the present times are aware of Ramayana or other Hindu texts. The BJP affiliate doted on the importance of the great teachings in the Indian epic that are helpful in life and should be taught to children everywhere.

The event was graced by the presence of Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, Actor Puneet Issar and Siddhant Issar, Organisers, Vikesh Sethi, Akhil Singhal, Binny Goel, among others.
