New Delhi, 16th April: At the Grehalakshmi Mrs India 2022 Grand Finale held on Friday, Dr Pooja Diwan was crowned as the Mrs India 2022 in Gold category, whereas Mrs Manisha Mehta was honoured as the 1st Runner Up. In the Silver category, Mrs Mohini Priya was crowned as the Mrs India 2022 in the Silver category.
It was heartwarming for the audience to witness women gracefully walking on the ramp, redefining women in Indian society. Grehlakshmi offers a platform to the recognising married women in India. The panel of judges consisted of Padma Shri Shovana Narayan, Supermodel Sonalika Sahay, Fashion Designers Rina Dhaka and Charu Parashar, Navneet Kaur Rana MP, actress Kashmira Shah among many others. The event also witnessed a surprising entry from Shenaaz Hussain, who was escorted on the stage and presented gifts to the brand partners of Grehlakshmi.
“Jo Rishta Nibhana Jaanta hai Ussi Ko GrehLakshmi Kehte Hai,” stated Dilruba, Host of the event who kept the audience engaged with her witty puns, shayaris and her charming singing talent. She also mentioned three superpowers every human being possesses, the power of clapping, laughter and the power of hugging.
The event consisted of three phases including the Introduction round, the Question and Answer round and the Finale round. The contestants introduced themselves to the audience with funny yet meaningful descriptions. “I am Suchi Jain, Mother of two. I am here with a bang”, “I love it when you call me Senorita, Get set to welcome your new Mrs India 2022.”
After the first round, the top 8 contestants were selected from both the categories. In the Questions and Answer round, the contestants gave inspiring and motivating answers to the judge’s questions. “ I want to inspire before I expire,” said a contestant. While another contestant answered when she was asked what should be the role of a man, “The role of a man is to know that the role of the woman is not to woo a man.”
