The Class 12 student who had allegedly run over a 32-year-old man with his father’s Mercedes in north Delhi’s Civil Lines last week, surrendered to the police on Sunday and was sent to a juvenile justice home.  He will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Monday.

The teen turned 18 years old on Friday — four days after the accident. He was said to be behind the wheels of the car, which, going at speed of 80 km an hour, hit marketing consultant Siddharth Sharma. In CCTV footage, the young man was seen flung 10 foot into the air — there was no sign of the driver trying to swerve or slow down.
