Fire destroys wheat crops on 31 acres

Ambala (Har), Apr 16 (PTI) Nearly 28 acres of standing wheat crops in three villages of Naraingarh were today destroyed in a fire, police said.

The fire spread across 28 acres of land in village Basumajra, Badi Rasour and Nanhera.

Around 20 farmers have been affected by the incident.

The cause of the fire is stated to be short circuit in electric wires passing over the fields.

In a separate incident, wheat crops on three acres were also burnt at Mohri falls village in Ambala City.

By the time two fire tenders reached the site, the crops had turned into ash.
