Modi’s swearing in: Big B, Rajinikant, Lata, Salman Khan invited

Film superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikant, and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar have been invited to Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Monday, said television reports.
Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan too is believed to have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony.

Amitabh Bachchan has been the ambassador for Gujarat tourism for the last five years.

Rediff.com reports that during an interview with a Hindi television channel recently, Narendra Modi had thanked Big B for keeping his alliances with Samajwadi Party aside and being a part of

Gujarat’s promotions for the past five years. Jaya Bachchan, incidentally, is a Rajya Sabha MP from an SP ticket.

In November last year, Lata Mangeshkar had said she would like to see Modi sitting in the prime minister’s chair.

On May 17, a day after the results, Rajinikant had tweeted: “Hearty Congratulations dear @narendramodi Ji on your historic win. Best wishes.”
