Mom’s lover tries to kill 5-year-old

A man has been arrested in Noida on charges of kidnapping and trying to kill the five-year-old son of a woman with whom he was allegedly in an illegitimate relationship, police said on Thursday.

The boy, however, survived and narrated his ordeal to his parents, which led to the arrest of the accused.

Ranjit, a resident of Khoda Colony, kidnapped the boy on Thursday by luring him with chocolates; he wanted to recover nearly Rs 2 lakh from his mother, which he had lent her, police said.
