India, (29/6/2019): The first wave of Mumbai monsoon brought respite to the city. However, due to the carelessness of authorities in Mumbai, people died. Several places were waterlogged and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), as usual, was not prepared to deal with Mumbai rains.

Today morning people died due to electrocution and got injured after a wall collapsed in Mumbai.

The electrocution incident took place near RTO Office, Andheri West, where a 60-year-old person died due to electrocution. The old woman was identified as Kashima Yudiyar. An investigation into the fatal incident has also been initiated.

Another incident took place at Mahakali Caves in Goregaon East. The electrocution injured four people. All four were rushed to a hospital. Two people were declared brought dead while two others are in a critical condition.

In another mishap, three people were left injured after a wall collapsed in Dadar. The wall collapsed at Senapati Bapat Marg, Kamgar Maidan in Dadar East. The three injured were taken to KEM Hospital.

“Intense spells of rainfall likely to continue in the districts of Greater Mumbai, Thane and Raigad during the next 24 hours,” IMD Mumbai said
