New Delhi- The present conditions of the country are worse than they were at the time of partition. The government or the party in power regards its opposition as
sedition. In the whole country, attempts are being made to establish Astha as the
Constitution and transform the country into a Hindu Rashtra. Muslims, Christians,
Dalits and weaker sections are being subject to suppression and violence. On the pretext of terrorism, innocent Muslim youth are being sent behind bars. At some places, students belonging to Dalits and backward sections are being regarded as anti
national for resisting ‘Manuwadis.’ Circumstances have also led some to suicide. The
gulf between Muslims and Hindus is getting wider and both seem afraid of each other.
We are not supporters of any party nor opposed to them. We have faith in the
unity and solidarity of the country. There are a few who say that we are against the
BJP but we are only opposed to their mentality which seems to undermine the unity
and solidarity of the country. They are engaged in intrigues for that purpose. They are creating conditions as were at the time of partition. The government came to power with the promises of providing better days. But now it has turned its whole attention to Nagpur. The ministers have to go to Jhandewalan to report their activities. There are people in power who openly incite the people to profess anti-cow slaughter campaign. They are engaged in destroying the ‘Ganga-Jamuna’ culture of India and widening the gulf between Hindus and Muslims.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is deeply concerned about conditions of the country and is willing to make every possible effort to save the unity, solidarity, fraternity, secularism and Constitution of India. For that purpose, it is going to organize
“NATIONAL SOLIDARITY CONFERENCE” on March 12, 2016 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Representatives of all religious and political parties, particularly Dalit leaders have been invited to come together for seriously considering the present conditions of the country so that a joint statement may be issued for the whole country.
