Nandini Thakur on ‘Tum Dena Saath Mera’ character: She’s fearless, creative, and very real

Mumbai, April 27 (IANS) Television actress Nandini Thakur, who has worked in shows such as Pushpa Impossible and Udne Ki Aasha, will be seen in the show ‘O Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera’ starring Shabir Ahluwalia.

Nandini will be seen playing the role of a Gen-Z girl named Isha, and her character will have an on-off continuity role in the show, which revolves around the themes of fate and friendship.

Speaking about her role, Nandini said in a statement: “Isha is someone I instantly connected with. She’s fearless, creative, and very real in the way she expresses herself.”

“What I love most is that she not only follows her dreams but also helps others grow along the way. That balance of ambition and empathy is what makes her special to me,” Nandini added about her character, who works in the office in Fabian designing and helps the people around create things.

Talking about the show, which also stars Sriti Jha and Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni.

The show follows an artist named Aparajita, who is scarred by her past. She crosses paths with Rakshit, a guarded businessman who’s sworn off love.

This is not the first time Sriti will be seen working with Shabir. The two are a much-loved pair and have worked in shows such as Kumkum Bhagya, whose concept was originally based on Jane Austen’s novel Sense and Sensibility.

Talking about Shabir, he stepped into acting in 1999 with “Hip Hip Hurray”.

It was his acting prowess in shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat, Kahi To Milenge, Kkavyanjali, Kasamh Se, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Kayamath.

The actor also featured in two films Shootout at Lokhandwala, which released in 2007, based on the 1991 Lokhandwala Complex shootout, a real-life gun battle between gangsters and the Mumbai Police.

A year later, he was seen in Mission Istaanbul, an action thriller film based on an organisation called Al Johara, which bears a resemblance to the Qatar-based news channel, which was criticized by the White House as an outlet for terrorists.

Shabir was last seen in Sony SAB’s romantic-comedy, “Ufff… Yeh Love Hai Mushkil”. The show, which also stars Ashi Singh, is a passionate, fun love tale set against the backdrop of a crazy household.
