National Disaster Response Force completes probe in South Delhi’s Gas Leak incident

107 students from Rani Jhansi Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya were hospitalised after a gas leak from a container in Pul Pehladpur in Tughlaqabad area of capital on Saturday morning. The school is near the area where the gas leak occurred.

After completing the investigation in the case, National Disaster Response Force Investigation wing head Shrinivashan has told media that, this has happened because of a Bio-chemical. This particular chemical had come from China and was headed for Sonipat.
Leakage of this same chemical has caused this tragic incident.
The container has now reached Sonipat. This hazardous chemical is used for making pesticides. One of the drums of the large consignment had the leak. As of now the depot which had housed this consignment has been secured and there is no further cause of worry.
