New Delhi (10/01/2020): NCC cadets today organized nationwide demonstration for multiple demands including reservation in government services and other concessions.

NCC cadets exhibited their demands at Jantar Mantar where big number of these NCC members were present who belonged to at least 16 different States.

NCC cadets are well disciplined, just like the Indian Army and at the same time, they keep on providing support in all kinds of social and state functions, but NCC cadets are not getting as much representation in the central and state services as they are entitled to.

Speaking to Ten News, one NCC member from Maharashtra said, “We spend almost every College Year of ours, as a member of National Cadet Corps but we are not provided with the representation that we are entitled to. It is obvious that we undergo some of the Army training in college itself, but the government is in fact making us face problems to get in there?”

NCC provides certificates to students under different age brackets. NCC’s A certificate is for students under 15 years of age. The maximum age for obtaining a ‘B’ certificate is 17 years, after two years of obtaining a ‘B’ certificate, students can obtain a ‘C’ certificate. Students receiving ‘C’ certificate from NCC get various government jobs in addition to army, paramilitary forces.
