- TWO WANTED CRIMINALS NAMELY JAI BHAGWAN AND SONU @ MACHCHAR
- THEY ARE CLOSE ASSOCIATES OF NOTORIOUS GANGSTERS ANIL @ LILA & JYOTI AND PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN KIDNAPPING OF A LECTURER OF PDM ENGINEERING COLLEGE, BAHADUR GARH FOR RANSOM.
Crime Branch has arrested two notorious criminals namely Jai Bhagwan (27 Yrs) S/o Ranvir Singh r/o Nangal Dewat, Vasant Kunj, Delhi and Sonu @ Machchar (31 Yrs) S/o Gautam Prakash r/o Roshan Vihar-1, Najafgarh, Delhi. Accused persons are close associates of notorious gangsters Anil @ Lila & Jyoti and they were wanted in a case of threat to life & Arms Act of PS Chhawla, Delhi.
INCIDENT
On 28/06/2015, accused persons had threatened one Dharmender Kumar r/o Najafgarh of dire consequences over a property dispute. A case vide FIR No. 380/15 dt. 28/06/15 u/s 341/506/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Chhawla in this regard and they have been evading arrest in the case.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION
On 23/10/2015, information was received by Inter State Cell that two notorious criminals of Anil @ Lila & Jyoti gang namely Jai Bhagwan & Sonu @ Machchar, who are wanted in a case of threat to life and Arms Act of PS Chhawla, would come near sector 13 Metro station Dwarka to meet someone. On this information, a team led by ACP KPS Malhotra, Inspectors P C Yadav, Sanjeev Yadav, SI Sandeep Yadav HCs Dinesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Dinesh Singh, Santraj, Kartar Singh, Dinesh, Bijender, Narender, Cts. Brijesh Pandey, Om Parkash, Ravi & Sandeep was constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar to nab them. Accordingly, a trap was laid near sector 13 Metro station Dwarka and accused Jai Bhagwan and Sonu @ Machchar were apprehended.
INTERROGATION & PROFILE
Accused Jai Bhagwan was born at village Nangal Dewat, Delhi and he has studied upto 9th standard at Sonipat, at the house of his maternal uncle. He returned to Delhi about 10 yrs ago and began to work as taxi driver at IGI Airport. Soon he came in contact with Anil @ Lila & Jyoti and started committing crime with them. Accused Jai Bhagwan is previously involved in four criminal cases including those of rape and kidnapping for ransom.
Sonu @ Machchar was born at Roshan Vihar, Najafgarh, Delhi and he has studied upto 8th standard. He was working as a taxi driver at IGI Airport where he came in contact with Jai Bhagwan, Anil @ Lila & Jyoti and started committing crime.
In the year 2009, both the accused persons had kidnapped one lecturer/son of the Principal of PDM College of Engineering Bahadur Garh (Haryana) with the help of their associates Anil @ Lila, Jyoti and Dheerpal from the gate of the college amid high security as some VVIP had to visit the college on that day. They had released the victim/lecturer after allegedly taking a ransom of Rs. 20 lac.
The concerned police station has been informed about their arrest for further action.
