Crime Branch has arrested an interstate drug peddler and robber

Dharamvir Singh @ Palla (38 yrs) s/o Phool Singh r/o H.No.569, J.J. Colony,

Inder Puri, New Delhi.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: –

On 03.08.2016, a secret information was received at Narcotics Cell, Crime

Branch that a notorious drug peddler and desperate robber of Joga gang namely

Dharamvir @ Palla who is wanted in many cases of drug peddling and robbery,

would come at Stone Market (Pathar Market), Mangolpuri, Delhi to meet

someone.

On this information, a team led by ACP Ranbir Singh, comprising of Insp.

Vijender Singh, SIs Manoj Kumar, Jai Prakash, HCs Om Prakash, Subodh,

Ramesh, Cts. Sandeep, Yogender and Ankush was constituted under the overall

guidance of DCP Rajan Bhagat to nab him. Accordingly, a trap was laid at place

of information and accused Dharamvir @ Palla was apprehended by the

courageous efforts of the raiding party.

The accused was arrested u/s 41.1(ba) Cr.PC. On interrogation, accused

had disclosed his involvement in seven cases of drug peddling and robbery,

which he had committed alongwith his associates namely Johny @ Kartoos,

Joginder @ Joga, Phool Singh and Narender Bisht @ Anil @ Commando etc.

The arrested accused Dharamvir @ Palla was declared PO in the following

2 cases: –

1. FIR No.133/09 U/s 392/397/34 IPC, PS DBG Road, Delhi.

2. FIR No.193/09 U/s 379/356/34 IPC, PS DBG Road, Delhi.

DISCLOSURE AND MODUS OPERANDI: –

He is previously involved in the following cases: –

1) FIR No.303/09 u/s 392/34 IPC, PS Keshav Puram, Delhi.

2) FIR No.279/09 u/s 395/396/397/34 IPC, PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.

3) FIR No.193/09 u/s 392/394/397/34 IPC, PS D.B.G. Road, Delhi.

4) FIR No. 133/09 u/s 392/397/34 IPC, PS DBG Road, Delhi.

5) FIR No.33/16 u/s 20/25/29 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi.

6) FIR No.360/15 u/s 20 NDPS Act, PS Palam Village, Delhi.

He has disclosed that they used to target those persons who were carrying

huge amounts and he used to conduct reccee of the target before executing

their plan.

Accused Dharamvir @ Palla has one brother and two sisters. All his family

members were indulged in bootlegging but Dharamvir @ Palla wanted to do

something different to earn quick money to live a luxurious lifestyle. In 2006, he

came in contact with one Joga who was a desperate robber. After that

Dharamvir @ Palla also became active member of the gang and started

committing crime. He is also involved in supply of ganja in huge quantity which

procured from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to Delhi. His other associate Rohit

was also involved in the illegal trade.

Earlier, he was arrested in case FIR No.21/06 u/s 21 NDPS Act PS

Narcotics Branch, Crime Branch, Delhi.

SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF SENSATIONAL CRIME COMMITTED BY

THE GANG IN DELHI

1) In the month of September, 2009, accused Dharamvir had committed a

day light dacoity in the area of Police Station D.B.G. Road alongwith his

associates in which they had looted cash of Rs.97-98 lac. A case vide FIR

No. 193/09 u/s 392/394/397/34 IPC was registered.

2) In the month of June, 2009, accused Dharamvir had committed another

day light snatching alongwith his associates in which they had looted cash

of Rs.27 lac. A case vide FIR No. 133/09 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was

registered at PS DBG Road.

3) In 2009, accused Dharamvir alongwith his associates were also involved in

a broad day light Robbery in the area of Police Station Keshav Puram,

Delhi in which they had looted cash of Rs.22 lac.

4) Again in 2009, accused Dharamvir had committed a broad day light

robbery with murder in the area of Police Station Shalimar Bagh.

5) In 2015, 406 Kg ganja was recovered from his associates Pankaj Nangia

and Siraj Ahmad Ansari, who were arrested in the area of Palam but he

managed to escape from the spot.

6) In 2016, 1060 Kg ganja was recovered in the area of Naraina by the team

of Crime Branch Delhi from his associates. He cleverly managed to escape

from the spot by dodging police party.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
