New Media Journalist Association celebrate National Press Day

New Media Journalist Association (NMJA) Haryana celebrated the National Press Day on Monday 16th November 2015.  A meeting organised at the Golf Club Faridabad witnessed sharing of views of journalists running news portals and writing for big publishing houses. President Saurabh Bhardwaj, a senior journalist and Editor Voice of Faridabad, congratulated all the members on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion he said that with the social media getting faster pace than other forms of media, more responsibility lies with the people working on this platform. He said that it takes a few moments in uploading any news item. Hence, it has to be ensured that the reporting is executed with utmost care and each word written on the social media carries authentic information. He said that it is the time that people view news on their palm tops and mobiles.  Even the traffic information is available on mobiles with the help of different applications. Hence, more dependence on mobiles and internet shift more responsibility on the journalists contributing these news stories on web. He said that the journalists in social media should also be aware of their responsibility towards society. He said that our reporting should not be biased towards anyone and need to be balanced.
