News of animal slaughter incites tension in Loni

Tension erupted in Loni and Sonia Vihar, located in Ghaziabad and New Delhi respectively, on Wednesday as unidentified persons torched a motorbike and set 14 kiosks on fire in a poultry market in the latter area. The incident occurred following rumours being spread in both areas of protected animals being slaughtered. Ghaziabad police have lodged an FIR against two individuals while a manhunt has been launched to nab others.
