NIA Raids 31 Locations in Punjab and Haryana to Unearth London High Commission Attack Conspiracy

New Delhi, August 2, 2023: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched a massive operation on Tuesday, conducting raids at 31 locations across Punjab and Haryana. The objective was to uncover the complete conspiracy behind the March 19 attack on the High Commission of India in London and bring the attackers and assailants to justice.

Covering districts in Punjab such as Moga, Barnala, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, SBS Nagar, Amritsar, Mukhtsar, Sangrur, Patiala, and Mohali, and Sirsa in Haryana, the raids were aimed at gathering vital information related to the accused involved in the London attack.

During the extensive searches, the NIA seized digital data, incriminating documents, and evidence linking the attackers to the assault on the High Commission. The anti-terror agency is resolute in its efforts to uncover the larger conspiracy behind the attack, apprehend the perpetrators, and expose their supporters, both within India and abroad.

The High Commission of India in London fell victim to a criminal trespass, desecration of the Indian National flag, damage to public property, and injuries to officials in the attack orchestrated by Gurcharan Singh, Dal Khalsa, UK; Avtar Singh Khanda of KLF, Jasvir Singh, and several other associates, including Indian and foreign nationals. The NIA’s ongoing investigation has identified these individuals.

In its quest to ensure the security and dignity of Indian interests abroad, the NIA has been relentlessly probing the incident and engaging in crowdsourcing to gather information about UK-based entities and individuals involved in the attack. The agency’s actions reaffirm its commitment to prevent any recurrence of such breaches and uphold the nation’s integrity.
