@Nitish Katara murder case: Delhi HC turns down plea for death sentence

The Delhi high court on Friday turned down plea for death sentence to three convicts in the Nitish Katara murder case.

A special bench of Justice Gita Mittal and Justice JR Midha rejected plea for death sentence to Vikas Yadav, brother of Katara’s friend Bharti, Vishal Yadav, Bharti’s cousin, and contract killer Sukhdev Pehalwan.

High court awarded additional 5 year-jail term to all three convicts for destruction of evidence in the case.
