Mumbai (India), 4th April 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lauded the newly inaugurated Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai and said that it will be crucial in increasing access to Indian art and culture.

In a message to Nita Ambani, the head of the Reliance Foundation and the wife of businessman Mukesh Ambani, Modi praised her for “popularising our art and culture.”

On April 1, Nita Ambani officially opened the NMACC at a lavish event in Mumbai that was attended by A-list actors from both Hollywood and the Indian film business.

The cultural centre, which has a 16,000 square foot exhibition area, is situated in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), one of the largest business hubs in the city.

In his letter PM Modi said, “This project will significantly increase society’s access to our art and culture as well as the lively socio-cultural exchange between the various regions of the nation and the globe.”

He further added, “I’m confident that this cultural centre will give aspiring performers and artists a stage on which to display their ability, which in turn inspires more people to pursue art professionally.”

When praising the Ambani family’s initiative, Modi used the phrase “Ammrit Kaal,” which he has been using for the next 25 years, which will commemorate the 75th to 100th anniversary of India’s independence.
