Noida: Retired Armymen to assist cops in PCRs, traffic signals

In order to augment the police force in the twin cities, the Noida Authority has decided to deploy 50 retired armymen with Gautam Budh Nagar Police.

With a population of approximately 18 lakh, the twin cities have a sanctioned strength of 3,800 police personnel, though only half that number is currently employed. The authority will deploy another 50 retired armymen at PCRs and major traffic junctions next week.
