A NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL OF BAGPAT, UTTAR PRADESH NAMELY SANDEEP KUMAR ARRESTED BY AATS/SWD

The staff of AATS, South-West District has arrested following one desperate Criminal and recovered one pistol with one live cartridge:-

• Sandeep Kumar @ Amit S/o Shri Sehdev Singh R/o WZ-1, Mahaveer Vihar, Sector-1, Dwarka, New Delhi. Age – 30 years.

Brief facts:-

A secret input was received that a dreaded and hardcore criminal namely Sandeep Kumar of Uttar Pradesh is planning to shift his base to Delhi. Not only he has arranged illegal weapons but also wanted to form his own gang and establish himself in the world of crime by committing heinous crime. Hence Insp. Raj Kumar/AATS was assigned the task to collect the criminal intelligence and arrest the accused before he could work on his sinister plans. Secret informers were deployed, criminal intelligence was collected. On 06/09/16, a secret information was received by the AATS/South-West staff that Sandeep Kumar @ Amit will arrive at 04:00 PM near Power House, service road, Sector-2, Dwarka, New Delhi to meet one of his associate. Under the supervision of Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP/Operations a dedicated team was constituted.  The information was developed & verified and a trap was laid down at Service Road, Near Power House, Sector-2, Dwarka, New Delhi. At about 04:00 PM, Sandeep Kumar @ Amit was apprehended on the pointing out of the secret informer. During the personnel search, a loaded PISTOL with live cartridge was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 470/16 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Dwarka South, New Delhi was registered and investigation of the case was taken up.

Recovery:-

• One Pistol alongwith live cartridges.

A team comprising of Insp. Raj Kumar, SI Manoj Bhatia, ASI Roshan Lal, HC Vinod Kumar, HC Sanjay, Ct Jagat, Ct Rohitash, Ct Arjun, Ct Manish & Ct Sujeet was constituted under overall supervision of ACP/Operation, Sh. Rajender Kumar.

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest the co-accused and to effect more recoveries and to ascertain their involvements in other cases and also trace the source of weapon.
