OPPI Healthcare Summit endeavours to develop and expand an integrated disease management: Anupriya Patel, Union Minister.

The Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India hosted it’s Sixth Healthcare Access Summit on Friday in New Delhi, supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Taking ahead the theme of the previous Summit -ACT(Awareness,Capacity Building and Treatment) on NCDs, this year the Summit focused on bringing Policies into best practices in Non communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Talking about the theme of the conclave, Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, government of India, said that, collaborating with government and other stakeholders at national, state and local levels, the OPPI sixth Healthcare Access Summit endeavours to develop and expand an integrated disease management process broadly engaging with affected communities in the fight against non communicable diseases.
And the good news is that we have therapies that can combat these diseases and help patients live a full and normal life. The research based pharmaceutical industry is reimagining medicines to address unmet medical needs, she added.
