Opposite party leaders, seek intervention of President over various issues in New Delhi.

Various leaders of opposite parties led by the Congress including the TMC, the DMK, the NCP, the JD-U, the RJD, the SP and the BSP, met Honorable President, Pranab Mukherjee and provided him a detailed memorandum over issues including the recent killing of a man by a mob in Alawar, by cow vigilantes and similar incidents happened in Jharkhand.

Briefing the press after the meeting, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, “a 13 member delegation of Opposition parties met honorable President . We have given a detailed memorandum to the honourable President.”

There is a sense of insecurity prevailing in the country and EVMs security issue was also raised, told Azad to media.
