Opposition lines up to slam Maha HM Anil Deshmukh after being implicated by Param Bir Singh

Greater Noida :  Three days after being removed as Mumbai Police Commissioner and transferred to Maharashtra’s Home Guard department, Param Bir Singh has leveled serious allegations against state home minister Anil Deshmukh in a letter written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

As soon as the sensational and serious allegations came in media, the opposition lined up to slam the Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh on social media.

BJP workers in Nagpur come out on roads to protest against Maharashtra Government, demanding Anil Deshmukh’s resignation over former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh allegations against him.

Here are some major reactions on the charges by Param Bir Singh:

Defending himself, Anil Deshmukh, refuted all the claims made against him by the former Mumbai Police commissioner, saying the top cop is trying to save himself from further legal action.

“When it is getting clear that he was involved in Mukesh Ambani bomb scare case as well as in the case of Mansukh Hiran’s death and there are possibilities of him getting exposed, the former police commissioner Param Bir Singh made false allegations against me to save himself from further legal action,” he said in a Tweet in Marathi.

Leading the charge, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray must remove Deshmukh immediately.

“An impartial probe must be conducted. The letter also says the chief minister was informed about this earlier, so why didn’t he act on it?,” he said.

Former Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam, said, “If at all, whatever Parambir Singh is saying is truth, the question should be asked from Hon Sharad Pawar ji because he is the architect of current Maharashtra Govt. Is it what the so-called third front is going to do finally? Congress must take a stand on this issue.”

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray also slammed the Maharashtra government and demanded the resignation of Anil Deshmukh over extortion charges.

“Mumbai’s former Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s letter to the Chief Minister is explosive. This is so damaging for Maharashtra’s image. Anil Deshmukh needs to submit his resignation immediately and a thorough investigation too needs to be made,” he said in a tweet.

Kangana Ranaut, a strong critique of the current government in Maharashtra, came out to celebrate the incident. She said, “When I called out corruption and ill administration of Maharashtra government, I faced so much abuses, threats, criticism. I retaliated but when my loyality for my beloved city was questioned I cried silently. When they illegally demolished my house many cheered and celebrated (cont)”.

“Incoming days, they will be fully exposed, today I stand vindicated, hence it is proven in my brave Rajputana blood flows the loyality and true love for the land that feeds me and my family. I am a true desh bhakt not haramkhor” she added in another tweet.

Till now, no reaction has came from NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, but as per sources, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has spoken to Sharad Pawar wherein they discussed the explosive letter.
