Oral Hygiene Day was celebrated in I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida on 31st July, 2015 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. G.B Shankwalkar who was founder President of Indian Society of Periodontology.
The poster competition was organized on 31/07/2015 in the Department of Periodontics on the theme ‘Brush & Floss or Be Ready for Tooth Loss’. The competition was judged by Dr. Mousumi Goswami (Prof. & HOD Pedodontics) & Dr. Achint Garg (Prof. & HOD Oral Medicine & Radiology).
Oral hygiene day celebration on 31st July 2015 commenced with welcome note by Dr.Sachitanand Arora , (Prof. & Head) Department of Periodontics. This was followed by introductory speech by Dr.Anmol S Kalha, Director PG studies and Dr.Puneet Ahuja, Principal, I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida. A small talk was also given by Dr. Sneha Nidhi, Dept of Periodontics on significance of “Oral Hygiene Practices Demystified”.
Quiz competition was organized in which representative teams from all years of undergraduate, postgraduate course and faculty participated. Quiz Master for the competition was Dr. Sachitanand Arora.
Winners of Science Quiz were 1st Year B.D.S Students Anisha Jha, Akanksha Dobhal and Apurva, Winner of First Prize in Poster 2nd Year B.D.S Prativa Hangma Subba, Rashika Singh and Andleeb Khalid Madni, Winner of Second Prize in poster were Asma Md. Quamar, Benish Hafiz, Bhawna Nagar and Chowlung.
This was followed by prize distribution to the winners of Quiz and Poster competition by Dr.Puneet Ahuja, Principal I.T.S Dental College, Hospital, Greater Noida. The program was attended by more 150 Faculty, Post- Graduate, Under- Graduate and Interns.
On this occasion free samples of various oral hygiene aids were distributed to more than 250 patients at main registration counter and OPD.
