Orange Retail Finance Expands Beyond Two-Wheeler Loans, Eyes Gold Loan Market
TEN NEWS NETWORK
New Delhi News (05/10/2026): Orange Retail Finance India Private Limited is charting an ambitious expansion beyond its traditional two-wheeler financing business as the 13-year-old NBFC looks to strengthen its position in the broader secured lending market.
The company is preparing to enter new lending segments, including gold loans, MSME loans against property and home loans, while simultaneously expanding its branch-led financial services network.
₹100 Crore NCD Raised, ₹300 Crore Debt Fundraising Planned
To support its expansion strategy, Orange Retail Finance has raised ₹100 crore through a listed Non-Convertible Debenture (NCD) issuance with UMI Capital. The company is also working towards raising approximately ₹300 crore in debt during the current financial year to strengthen its lending capacity and support portfolio growth.
The NBFC has further entered into a ₹100 crore co-lending partnership with Shriram, which is expected to enhance its lending capabilities and help it reach a broader customer base.
Gold Loans Emerge as a Major Growth Driver
Gold loans are expected to play a significant role in Orange Retail Finance’s next phase of growth. The company plans to put the required gold loan infrastructure in place across all its branches by October 2026.
By leveraging its existing branch network, the NBFC aims to offer customers additional secured financing options beyond vehicle loans. The move is also expected to diversify its loan portfolio and create new revenue opportunities.
Technology to Drive Lending Operations
Alongside its physical expansion, Orange Retail Finance is increasing its focus on technology-led lending. The company is investing in Artificial Intelligence, automation and digital platforms to streamline its lending processes and improve operational efficiency.
These initiatives are aimed at making loan processing faster and more convenient while creating a smoother and more transparent experience for customers.
Ambitious Growth Roadmap Through FY2031
Orange Retail Finance has set a long-term target of expanding its network to 150 branches, building a workforce of around 1,500 employees and achieving ₹3,000 crore in Assets Under Management (AUM) by FY2031.
With the planned entry into multiple secured lending segments, the company intends to build on its experience in two-wheeler financing and its established branch network to create a more diversified financial services platform. The expansion marks a strategic shift for Orange Retail Finance as it seeks to move from a largely vehicle-focused lender towards a broader secured lending business.
