New Delhi, 26 October 2022: Following Arvind Kejriwal’s suggestion about adding Laxmi-Ganesh images on current, Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson criticised him for reversing course in politics and attempting to become a “bhakt”.
“This is the same Kejriwal who had earlier stated that everyone who celebrates Diwali, even unintentionally, will be imprisoned, is now abruptly speaking about Lakshmi and Ganesh ji. The person who threatened to go to jail over Diwali celebrations is now making a U-turn and stirring up trouble,” he added.
He also addressed Kejriwal’s old post on sweeping the swastika away. “Whenever we celebrate Diwali, the puja begins by making a swastika symbol. “It’s in the public domain, that tweet. The same individual is attempting to become a bhakt today,” he commented.
Patra went on to say that Laxmi, the goddess of riches, would never pardon him. “Goddess Laxmi is never going to forgive you for stealing the money of the people,” he added. “Your colleague Manish Sisodia has made so much money through the liquor mafia.”
