PAYMENTS MADE TO THE TANKER OWNERS DURING THE KEJRIWAL REGIME SHOULD BE RECOVERED FROM AAM AADMI PARTY – BJP
New Delhi, 21st June. In a Press Conference today BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyayand Leader of Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta have said that after lodging FIR in the DJB Tanker Scam, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should immediately resign if there is any morality left in him. National Secretary Sardar R.P. Singh was also present in the Press Conference. Shri Upadhyay said that Kejriwal Government not only tried its best to save former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the DJB scam but also allowed the previous contracts to continue so that they may also get benefit like the previous Government. They said that the lodging of FIR today is the result of agitation initiated by BJP workers.
Shri Upadhyay said that during last few days the political developments have proved Kejriwal Government has corrupt and power hungry. After the Auto Permit, CNG & Onion Scams, loot in the name of Pay & Allowances of MLAs, Water Tanker Scam, Case of Parliamentary Secretaries and Premium Bus Service or it may be the case of appointment of MLAs violating the rules on the post of Chairman Patient Welfare Committee today, the Chief Minister Kejriwal has no moral rights to remain in power.
Shri Upadhyay said that some days ago, people of Delhi witnessed a drama in which Chief Minister Kejriwal sent his Minister Gopal Rai to ACB office without any FIR or Summon. He said that now FIR has been filed against Chief Minister Kejriwal, people of Delhi want to know that whether Chief Minister himself will surrender before the ACB? Shri Upadhyay said that nobody has played with the sentiments of the people more than Kejriwal Government. The latest proof is that by publishing advertisement at the cost of lakhs of rupees for giving information to a particular area about non supply of water and by visiting the DJB Office yesterday the Chief Minister has tried to show the sensitivity of his Government whereas the Water Minister Kapil Mishra has gone to Punjab on political holiday.
Leader of the Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta has said that Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal must answer that why did he sat over the report for 11 months? What was the deal between the three Tanker Companies and the Chief Minister for suppressing the report? How much payment was made to the Tanker Companies after the AAP Government came to power and how much loss was caused to the Government exchequer.
Shri Gupta said that the Chief Minister, his government and the Aam Aadmi Party are trying to mislead the people by saying that this scam happened during the Sheila Dikshit regime. The reality is that Sheila Dikshit had awarded contracts at higher rates to the three companies disregarding the rules and laws. Under this contract the companies were to be paid 7 crore rupees per month by the DJB for 10 years. The sources have said that out of this payment the companies used to pay hefty amount to the Congress Government and the AAP Government every month. This resulted into loss of 400 crore rupees to the exchequer.
ACB Chief M.K. Meena lodged FIR and made Sheila Dikshit & Arvind Kejriwal as the accused. After this the Chief Minister, the Delhi Government and the Aam Aadmi Party are shocked. This scam has exposed the Party which claimed to eradicate corruption and adopt policy of zero tolerance for corruption. Now in order to divert the attention of the people, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is issuing absurd statements.
Shri Gupta further said that the Fact Finding Committee had submitted its report on the 14th July, 2015 and Water Minister Kapil Mishra had written a letter demanding inquiry into it then why Kejriwal sat over the file for 11 months. When on 10th June, the LOP demanded that the report of the Fact Finding Committee be placed on the table of the House in its special session, his microphone was disconnected and effort was made to suppress his voice. The Chief Minister did not take it the seriously and the Leader of the House had to stand on the table so that all the MLAs and the people may know how much the AAP Government and the Chief Minister are corrupt ?
Shri R.P. Singh said that not only the guilty persons of the DJB scam should be punished but the profit earned by the corrupt contractors for 15 months should also be recovered. Shri R.P. Singh said that the people are facing scarcity of water today, the Summer Action Plan of Delhi Government has completely failed and now after the exposure of DJB Tanker Scam, the BJP workers will go all over Delhi to expose the Summer Action Plan of Delhi Government.
