PCP MOTORS UNVEILS MOTORHOME/ CARAVAN AT AUTO EXPO 2014

PCP Motors a group company of Paracoat -India’s leading manufacturer in Total NVH reduction components has launched new ventures called Motorhome ‘Terra’ and PCP ‘Care’, first of its kind to be introduced in India. These products are being exclusively displayed at the Auto Expo 2014, in Greater Noida from February 05-10, 2014.
The company earlier in 2012, had introduced an innovative concept for travel with family, friends and colleagues, by initiating the concept of Motorhome “Terra” in India. To excel in the field, PCP collaborated with Vantech Japan and Siam Motorhome Ltd. Thailand for the design and development of the Motorhome, customizing it specifically for the Indian market.
This year, PCP has developed and showcased three different interior variants at Auto Show 2014 taking into account individual requirements and preferences.
PCP Terra is apt for family or a group excursion of five to seven people (including the driver). It has luxurious interior designs,the seating area can be made into a bedroom with a capacity of four to five people. Facilities like an air conditioner, heater, refrigerator, microwave, washroom, shower, shelves (shoes, jackets, nightwear, special design drawers for kitchen utensils, stereo and multimedia system (TV, Radio, DVD player, mp3 player) naturally finds its place in the product to enhance the quality of the travel. It has a display panel which monitors the level of fresh water and wastewater. It has a reverse camera to assist the driver to reverse seamlessly with a monitor on the front console.
There are various options available for different upholstery and combinations as per the customer’s choice. The Terra MotorHome has been designed for two base vehicles – Mahindra Genio and Isuzu D-Max. The conversion cost is between Rs.31.83 lacs and Rs. 34.72 lacs + taxes depending on the models. The delivery time will be 13-15 weeks from the date the order is placed.
The second innovation by PCP titled “PCP Care” is tailor-made for people suffering from Spinal and Knee injuries. PCP has designed a comfortable seat that can be retro fitted in Maruti Eco. The vehicle smartly uses the hydraulic mechanism which helps the seat to be easily taken out of the van and the passenger, after sitting comfortably, with a mere push of button, can glide the seat back to its original position. In this series, PCP is also working on seats which can revolve and help people suffering from obesity and other health issues to move easily in and out of the car.
The conversion cost of the Hydraulic seat is approximately Rs. 3.69 lacs + taxes. The delivery time will be 10-12 weeks from the date the order is placed.
