PM Modi heads for G20, to discuss India’s role in tackling global issues

New Delhi, Nov 14, 2022: Before departing to attend the G20 summit in Bali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed that he will focus on highlighting India’s achievements and commitment to addressing global challenges such as food and energy security, environment, health, and digital transformation, among other things during his interactions with world leaders.

The Group of 20 (G20) summit will take place in Indonesia’s Bali from November 15-16. India is set to assume presidency of the exclusive grouping of nations from December 1st.

“India will officially assume G20 Presidency from Dec 1; I will extend my personal invitation to G20 members for next year’s summit,” PM Modi shared in a statement prior to his departure.

In his statement, PM Modi also said : At G-20 summit, I will have extensive discussions with other leaders on reviving global growth, food, energy security, health. During my interactions at G20 summit, I will highlight India’s achievements and commitment to collectively address global challenges.”
